Controlled bubble glass, also known as Bullicante, is glass that’s embedded with bubbles. Popular during the 1950's among Murano glass artists, the bubbles are created by rolling the molten glass on a metal surface covered in sharp spikes, poking holes that are then covered with another layer of glass, trapping air in the holes.
